Sculpted lamp · a spiral pulled tight, then released

Whorl is built around a single gesture — a slow spiral pulled tight, then released. The light caught inside doesn't sit still; it follows the curve of the form, so what reaches the wall behind it is a soft rotation, a quiet vortex unfolding in warm tones. It feels like watching a leaf spiral down through still water.

Lit, Whorl rewards being looked at twice. The pattern shifts depending on where you stand. Switched off, it reads as a sculpted shell — heavy, deliberate, finished.

This is the lamp for a corner you walk past several times a day. You'll start to walk slower without meaning to.

Frequently asked

What you might want to know.

How long does shipping take?

Australia-wide: 3–5 business days from dispatch. Internationally: 7–14 business days. Each lamp is sculpted and finished by hand — please allow up to 5 working days production before shipping.

What bulb does it use?

A standard E27 socket. Every Two Waves lamp ships with a warm 2700K, 6W LED bulb — the right temperature for the diffuser.

Are the lamps really made in Perth?

Yes. Every lamp is sculpted in plant-based PLA in our Perth studio in Western Australia. We hand-finish, sign and number each piece before it ships.

What does 'edition of 150' mean?

This is our first collection — 150 lamps in total, distributed across the eight pieces. Each lamp is numbered. Once a piece sells out it isn't re-printed in this edition.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit my space?

Of course. We offer a 30-day in-home trial — if the lamp isn't right for your room, send it back and we'll refund you in full.

Is the material recyclable?

The shell is printed in plant-based PLA bioplastic from corn starch. It is fully recyclable and biodegradable in industrial composting facilities.
