How quickly do you reply to messages?
We aim to reply within 1–2 business days. If you write us over the weekend, expect to hear back on Monday.
Do you do custom or bespoke pieces?
Yes — we take limited custom commissions. Please describe your idea, the space and any color or dimension preferences in your message.
Do you offer trade or interior-designer pricing?
We do. If you're an interior designer, architect, or stylist, get in touch from your studio email and we'll set you up with our trade program.
How can I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking link the moment your lamp leaves our studio. If it hasn't arrived and tracking shows no movement for more than seven business days, write to us — we'll chase the carrier and sort it out.
What if my lamp arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within 7 days of receiving it, along with your order number, and we'll arrange a free replacement — no need to ship the damaged piece back.
How long does shipping take?
Every lamp is in stock — most orders ship the same or next business day. Free, tracked delivery Australia-wide, 3–5 business days from dispatch. Internationally: 7–14 business days.
What bulb does it use?
A standard E27 socket. Every Two Waves lamp ships with a warm 2700K, 5W LED bulb (806 lumens, CRI 90) — the right temperature for the diffuser, and easy to replace anywhere.
Are the lamps really made in Perth?
Yes. Every lamp is sculpted in plant-based PLA in our Scarborough studio in Perth, Western Australia. Leo and Orne hand-finish every piece themselves before it ships — there's no factory in between.
What is PLA, and is it safe?
PLA is a plant-based bioplastic made from fermented corn starch — not petroleum. It's stable, odourless and safe to live with, and it's fully recyclable and compostable in industrial facilities at the end of its life.
Is every lamp exactly the same?
No two are perfectly identical — each one is shaped and finished by hand, so small variations in texture and finish are part of what makes it feel made, not manufactured.
Can I return it if it doesn't fit my space?
Of course. We offer a 30-night in-home trial — if the lamp isn't right for your room, send it back and we'll refund you in full. We'd rather it found the right home.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to New Zealand and internationally, in 7–14 business days depending on destination. Every lamp is fitted with a standard Australian plug — if you're outside Australia or New Zealand, you'll need a travel adapter.
How do I clean and care for it?
Wipe the shell with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasives, and never submerge it — it's an electrical piece. Switch it off and let it cool before cleaning.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
No — every Two Waves lamp is designed for indoor use only. The PLA shell and electrical components aren't weatherproofed for sun, rain, or humidity.
Can I use a different bulb?
Yes, any standard E27 bulb fits. We ship a warm 2700K LED because it suits the diffuser best — if you swap it, we'd recommend staying close to that warmth and to the wattage of the bulb we send.
Does it make a good gift?
It's one of the most common reasons people buy one. A lamp changes how a room feels the moment it's switched on — mention it's a gift when you message us and we'll make sure the packaging feels like one too.
